In the early eighties, Peter C. Stone returned to his native New England from the west coast. Living in the Boston area for a couple of years, he began to realize the themes of his rivers landscapes.
Intrigued by the power of the river as a cross-cultural symbol, the artist’s romanticized cityscapes along the Charles soon led to passages into the surrounding countryside. At the same time, working with architectural forms proved a valuable experience even as he was constantly drawn to the beauty of intimate and often rough-edged landscapes.
Each limited edition offset lithograph is signed, numbered, and printed on acid free 65 pound Mohawk superfine (unframed).
